How to run a successful Sirona.tv Focus Group

Requirements to complete the outlined steps:

Objective:
The objectives of the focus are to introduce, train, and engage the residents, and receive feedback from the residents. In addition, the objective is to identify the innovators who would be the champions to introduce the Sirona.tv device into the community.

  • Participants for the focus group:
    • 1. Moderator – leads the process
    • 2. Assistant Moderator – takes notes and if required records the meeting
    • 3. Residents – give feedback on a product, its usability, and feature set.

Groups
⦁ 5 or 6 residents/group. The participants should not be friends.
⦁ 3-4 focus groups are required to get clear trends

Setup
⦁ A TV with Sirona.tv connected to Ethernet (take no chance with WIFI)
⦁ A place where PowerPoint slides and video can be projected.

Time per focus group: 70 minutes

Focus group outline:
Introductions: 20 Minutes

  1. Focus group Introduction – 3 minutes
  2. Sirona.tv introduction
    1. First meeting with Sirona.tv – 5 minutes
    2. Sirona.tv Demo – 10 minutes – slow
      1. Incoming call – 3 mins
      2. Family Album – 3 mins
      3. Digital Directory
      4. Infotainment
      5. SBA – I need to go to the bathroom

Discussions
Engagement questions – 10 minutes

    1. What are your favorite gadgets you own and use – TV, iPhone/android phone Radio, smartwatch, Fitbit, Alexa, Google home
    2. On a Smartphone are your favorite apps – What’s App, Face Time, Facebook

Exploration Questions – 20 minutes

    1. How difficult would Sirona.tv be for you to learn and use
    2. What is the 1 thing you liked most about Sirona.tv?
    3. What are things you did not like?

10 Minutes break – people mingle and come up with new ideas.
2nd Demo – To get feedback on the layouts – 10 minutes

    1. Show layout 1 – All Apps are pictures
    2. Show layout 2 – All Apps are clip art
    3. Show layout 3 – Appropriate mix of pictures and clip art

Exit questions – 10 minutes

    1. How do the 3 layouts make any difference to your use?
    2. What feedback you would like to share about Sirona.tv?
    3. Would you be interested in trying a Sirona.tv in your room?
